  • CONTEST: Design Our New Logo, Win an Android Collectible and an ezeStand XL!

    Back in June, we ran a contest that asked our readers to put their graphics on-display by creating the next Droid Life logo.  We received a ton of submissions, picked 12 finalists, and allowed you to vote on your favorite.  When we tallied up all of the votes, we were left with a fine logo, but now we’re ready for something new.  It’s 2011 and we have a big year ahead, so let’s start it off with a brand new look!

    How will the contest work?

    1.  Design a new logo that you think we can use as our avatar, Facebook, and Twitter picture.
    2.  The dimensions of the it are simple yet important.  Please submit 512×512 logos only.
    3.  We need the logo to include our color scheme which is essentially:  black, pink, grey and white.
    4.   Once created, upload it to your favorite hosting site and paste it in the comments below.
    5.  We’ll allow logos to be submitted for the next  6 days (until 1/31).
    6.  On 1/31, we’ll take all of the submissions and decide as a team who wins.
    7.  A winner will be picked on February 1st and announced on the site.

    What do you win for creating our next logo?

    Since we love to give away goodies on this site, we thought we package up a couple of items for the winning logo designer.  How does a brand new and unopened Android mini-collectible plus an ezeStand XL sound?  All you have to do is create a logo that drives us wild and both items are yours!

  • The Limited Edition Droid Life Hoodie Winner is…

    It’s time to announce another contest winner here at Droid Life!  In just one day we had over 900 entries which blows my mind.  We can’t thank you all enough for the massive amount of support.  This community just keeps getting better by the day and it has been a pleasure to watch it grow from day 1.

    So what was up for grabs?  A limited edition Droid Life hoodie with special pink branding.  This is as “limited” as it gets and will likely never be available for mass consumption.  Luckily, we have a few, so maybe someone else will have a chance to win one later on.  For now though, we’ve got one winner…

  • CONTEST: Win a Limited Edition Droid Life Hoodie!

    Back in December, a limited edition Droid Life hoodie went on sale for 3 days only and we know that many of you missed out on the opportunity to grab one.  Well guess what?  We happen to have an extra special version that you won’t find anywhere and are willing to give it away today!  You’ll notice in the picture above that the DL logo is in our custom pink, which wasn’t the case on the limited edition version.  The winner of today’s hoodie will have something that very few people will ever have the pleasuring of caressing.

  • And the Command One Bluetooth Winners are…

    On Monday we reviewed the Command One bluetooth headset and then followed it up with a contest to give 2 of them away to reward our amazing Droid Life community members for all their awesomeness.  Each Command One headset is valued at $129, so as you can imagine, they garnered quite a bit of attention.  In fact, we had well over 1,000 entries to the contest in less than 2 days which is remarkable and can’t thank you enough for all the support.

  • CONTEST: Win a Motorola Command One Bluetooth Headset!

    Earlier today we walked through a review of the Command One bluetooth headset from Motorola and are now ready to  give 2 of them away ($129 value each)!  This device is clearly one of the leaders in bluetooth technology, especially when you throw in the MotoSpeak app that allows you to listen to your text without touching a button.  It also lets you stream music from your device, gives you at least 3.5 hours of talk time, and has all of the great voice activated commands you’ve grown accustomed to.  Who wants one?

  • Contest Winners: Droid Life Survivor Football Leagues

    Remember the two Yahoo Survivor Football leagues we ran back at the beginning of the NFL season?  We now have winners from both thanks to Philadelphia and their subpar week 16 performance against the Vikings on Tuesday night.  Pretty amazing that some of you lasted all the way until week 16, and actually, the winner from league #1 was still trucking, but his only competitor had the Eagles.  I’m impressed with your football minds.

    When the contest was announced we started with 1 league, which in 5 minutes was full, so we added another.  We weren’t sure what the prize would be for league 2, but we’ve decided to match the giveaway of league 1 which means we’ll be handing out $100 in cold hard Paypal cash in both leagues, but since we had a tie in league 2, we’ll split the winnings between our two champs.

    Last week we launched a pre-X-mas NDrive license contest and it’s time to finally announce our 5 winners!  The contest was simple and in order to enter only asked that you follow us and @NDrive on Twitter, retweet a simple message and sit back and wait.  Four USA map licenses ($26 value each) and one North America map license ($52 value) were up for grabs, so let’s see who the lucky 5 were!

  • Contest: Win 1 of 5 NDrive Navigation Licenses! (Updated)

    Our friends over at NDrive reached out to us and asked if we’d be willing to help them give away 5 licenses for their navigation product on Android and of course we said yes.  Giving prizes away to readers is probably our favorite thing to do!  So the contest is simple as usual, and winners will be picked at the beginning of next week on December 27th.

    Update:  NDrive has decided to up the ante and is giving away 4 USA map licenses ($26 value) and 1 full North America map license ($52 value) as a grand prize.  Yay!

    Update 2:  winners were originally to be picked everyday, but they will instead be chosen at the end of the beginning of next week (December 27th).  The change was due to the addition of the new grand prize.

    Here is what you have to do:

    1.  Follow both @NDrive and @Droid_Life on Twitter.
    2.  Tweet the following message:
