  • Enter the “What’s your favorite app?” Contest

    Want to attend a red carpet event that is yet to be determined?  (I know that sounds weird right?)  The VZW Droid peeps are running some sort of contest which simply asks, “What’s your favorite app?”  If you follow this link, you can fill out a basic form, choose 1 of 6 apps listed, create a story around that app and you are entered.

    Apparently the ads for this contest were first seen in magazines and may have even featured your name if you were a subscriber.  Gotta love marketing.

    I checked out the prize page it it seriously doesn’t specify what red carpet event you’ll be attending.  It could be your local Har Mar Superstar album release party for all we know.  Still, it’s free to enter.  Think about it anyway.

  • Droid Life March Madness Challenge Winners!

    I know that it started almost a month ago, but the Droid Life March Madness Bracket Challenge has finally come to a close!  The Duke Blue Devils took down the Butler Bulldogs in one hell of a battle last night for the NCAA Men’s hoops championship.  In fact, we were about 2 inches to the left away from a buzzer beating half court bank shot taking out Duke and putting “mid-major” Butler into historic company.  Craziness.  Pure craziness.

    And to add to that craziness, a Duke championship caused a 3-way tie for 1st place in our pool!  Nuts eh?  In the event of a tie, we were hoping that ESPN would have some mathematical way to decide a true winner, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.  So we’re splitting up the prizes evenly and adding more cash!

    Here is the new prize breakdown:

    Our three 1st place winners will all receive $20 Paypal cash, 1 ezeStand, and 1 full version of the newest xScope browser.  $20 should buy you all a handful of new apps or accessories right?

  • Join the Droid Life Bracket Challenge!

    It’s March Madness time!  When it comes to sporting events, the NCAA tourney tops my list every year.  (Yeah, even over the Super Bowl.)  And I’ve got to say that nothing is more fun than talkin’ trash while competing with friends, co-workers and family through a bracket contest!  So to help fuel your bracket fun, we’re launching our next contest which has a bundle of fantastic prizes including an ezeStand to the top 3 spots, some cash and the paid version of xScope!

    All you need to do to enter is sign up over at ESPN.com’s Tourney Challenge page, join the Droid Life group and then fill out your bracket.  After that, ESPN will whip out all the scores so that the rest of us can just sit back and watch all of the upsets unfold.  Don’t wait too long though as your bracket has to be submitted before Thursday’s first set of games!
