DEAL: Best Buy Hosting Nest Hub BOGO Promo, 2-Pack for $99!

Whether you need them or not, it’s tough to deny a 2-pack of Nest Hub units for just $99 at Best Buy. That’s a really good deal for Google’s smart display device with Google Assistant.

For those not aware of what these displays do, they are powered by a Google Assistant experience that is designed to help you control your smart home, have talks via Duo, give you the heads up on your morning commute, and help you in the kitchen by showcasing recipes and kitchen timers. They’re also being updated regularly with new features.

  • NVIDIA SHIELD TV (2019) Gets First Discount and is $20 Off (Updated)

NVIDIA SHIELD TV (2019) Gets First Discount and is $20 Off (Updated)

The new NVIDIA SHIELD TV (2019), after having arrived towards the end of last year, hasn’t seen the discounts we expected. There was no Black Friday deal, no last-minute Xmas deal, and no real discounts up until this moment. Today, though, we’ve got our first SHIELD TV discount.

Today’s deal at Amazon is on the smaller, cylindrical SHIELD TV, not the Pro. That’s not to take anything away from it, as it’ll still handle all of your Android TV media needs. It might not be the gaming powerhouse of the Pro, but I’d imagine most won’t care. You just want a bad-ass streaming device, right?

With an already reasonable price of $149, this drops it further to $129.99. After a quick look, it appears that this is a price drop at multiple retailers. We’ve included links to both Amazon and Best Buy below, but feel free to shop around if you have gift cards or prefer dealers.

Want to know what we think about the SHIELD TV (2019)? Our review is a good place to start.

  • Pixel 3a is $50 Off Right Now and You Get $100 Extra to Spend

Pixel 3a is $50 Off Right Now and You Get $100 Extra to Spend

The Pixel 3a remains one of the best value smartphones on the market, even if we are expecting a Pixel 4a to replace it in a few months. At around $400, with Google’s software and updates, a really great camera, and a fabulous plastic body, there aren’t many phones in this price range to consider over it, if any.

When the Pixel 3a gets a discount, well, it becomes about the only option. We have one of those today too! The Pixel 3a is currently $50 off, plus the retailer you buy it from will give a $100 gift card to spend. So that’s a Pixel 3a today for $349 with a $100 gift card to spend on top of it.

As of post time, B&H Photo and Best Buy have the deal in Just Black, Clearly White, and Purple-ish, but it looks like Amazon is preparing to match it. They’ve created the listings for it and likely just need to flip a switch on the price.

    • UPDATE: Yep, Amazon matched.

  • Buying a T-Mobile OnePlus 6T for $349 Sounds Like a Decent Idea

    Buying a T-Mobile OnePlus 6T for $349 Sounds Like a Decent Idea

At just over a year old, we wouldn’t normally tell you to consider buying a phone unless there is a steep discount attached. Since that’s the case with the T-Mobile OnePlus 6T, well, here we are suggesting this as a great phone for the price.

OnePlus has the T-Mobile OnePlus 6T listed at $349, which is $200 off its usual $549 price. For that money, you get 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, Snapdragon 845 processor, 3700mAh battery with fast charging, in-display fingerprint reader, dual camera system (20MP + 16MP), and 6.4″ AMOLED display with baby teardrop notch. Find me many $350 phones with those specs.

Since this is the T-Mobile version, there are some things to know. For one, updates on the T-Mobile version have been slower than unlocked OnePlus models. For example, the 6T on T-Mo does not yet have Android 10, while the unlocked version does. Also, this is likely SIM locked to T-Mobile, unless you can get them to unlock it, but even then, carrier support could be limited.

On T-Mobile with a limited budget? This is a solid choice, which our review will tell you all about.

  • Should Probably Buy This Google Home Hub for $53 (Updated: More Deals!)

Should Probably Buy This Google Home Hub for $53 (Updated: More Deals!)

Gamestop, the gaming store that dabbles in electronics, is selling the Google Home Hub at the moment for $53.97. Ummm, that’s an insane deal that you probably shouldn’t pass on if you’ve been considering a smart display.

The Google Home Hub started out at $149 and was then reduced to $129 by Google. We have seen it drop to around $67 through odd retailers and $59 at eBay, but at roughly $54, this might be the best deal yet.

Gamestop currently has the Home Hub (which is the Nest Hub now) in charcoal or chalk with options for delivery or store pickup. If you have a store near you, you may want to reserve and pick-up quickly before they are all gone.

What’s cool about the Google Home Hub? It’s the best digital picture frame you’ll ever own, lets you control your smart home, pull-up recipes, watch video (like YouTube), and gets better every few months through updates. For example, Google just announced that it will soon have digital sticky notes, shortcuts to people you call regularly, and more.

    Hurry!

    • UPDATE: Gamestop must be hosting some sort of Google blowout sale or something because it’s not just the Home Hub that’s discounted. A 3-pack of Google WiFi is just $122, Google Home is $44, and Home Mini is $22.
    • UPDATE 2: It’s all starting to sell out. Good luck!

    Gamestop Deal Links:

    • Google Home Hub ($53.97)
    • Google WiFi 3-Pack ($122.97, 50% off)
    • Google Home ($44.97)

  • We Love 30W Slim Anker Fast Chargers for $22

We Love 30W Slim Anker Fast Chargers for $22

One of my favorite industries to watch adapt and innovate has been the charger industry. As battery technology continues to never evolve or improve, the guys who make all of the products that refill the batteries in our phones keeps making cool stuff.

Anker, for example, has a super slim 30W USB-C charger that can handle just about anything, including fast charging of phones. It’ll even power laptops and tablets. It happens to be on sale this week too.

The Anker 30W PowerPort Atom III Slim Compact charger is currently discounted to $21.99. It retails for $35, so that’s a solid $13 discount on a charger that will charge everything in your house.

This charger supports Apple, Samsung, and Qualcomm fast charging, is powered by GaN (the hot new charging technology), and is only 0.63″ thick. Oh, it comes in black or white too, so you can tuck this slim beast anywhere and match it to your decor if necessary.

  • Galaxy S10+ Sees Big $300 Discount With Galaxy S20 Looming

Galaxy S10+ Sees Big $300 Discount With Galaxy S20 Looming

In a couple of weeks, we’ll be talking about the best Galaxy S20 deals to pay attention to. There will more than likely be BOGO deals, deep discounts with trades, that sort of thing. If you don’t want to wait until Samsung’s new-new launches, then today isn’t a bad day to get last year’s top Galaxy.

The Galaxy S10+ is $300 off today from Amazon in a daily deal. That drops the price from $999 to $699, which is actually a hell of a discount on a phone that will be good for a long, long time and that already has Android 10.

The $300 off deal is available for all colors (black, white, pink, and blue) with 128GB storage. If you want more storage, you’ll have to test out the different variants through that Amazon link below. It doesn’t look like many (or any) of the 512GB models are a part of the promo, but the 1TB versions are.

If you need to learn more about the Galaxy S10+, we have a review for you.
