  • DEAL: Save $30 on an Amazon Echo Show, Down to $199

DEAL: Save $30 on an Amazon Echo Show, Down to $199

For anyone who has been patiently waiting on Amazon to discount the Echo Show, now is your time. Usually listed at $229.99, you can find a Black or White model for just $199.99 with Amazon Prime.

The Amazon Echo Show is the same Echo experience you’d expect, with its learnable skills for doing all sorts of things, but the Show comes with a 7″ touchscreen that allows you to really interact with the information Alexa provides to you. You can view weather forecasts, play videos, use it as a glorified picture frame, and place video calls to friends.

I do believe this is the first deal on the Echo Show we’ve seen, so like I said, now is the time to pick one up if you have been waiting patiently for a price drop.

  • DEAL: Best Buy is Selling Pixel 2 at $100 Off, Pixel 2 XL at $25 Off

DEAL: Best Buy is Selling Pixel 2 at $100 Off, Pixel 2 XL at $25 Off

Looking for the best Pixel 2 deal? Best Buy currently has it, assuming you don’t have a phone to trade. If you are just straight up buying the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL on a device payment plan, Best Buy is here for you.

The electronics dealer is selling the Pixel 2 with a $100 discount on both 64GB and 128GB models as well as the Pixel 2 XL with a $25 discount. Those aren’t massive discounts, I know, but they are discounts. Keep in mind that the discount is only given with a device payment plan, we aren’t talking about a price drop on full retail prices. For a 64GB Pixel 2, you’d pay $22.91 per month for 24 months, while the Pixel 2 XL with 64GB storage will run you $34.36 per month.

I should point out that these are the “Verizon” versions, though they should still work on any carrier.

  • SmartThings Link Dongle for NVIDIA SHIELD is Finally Up for Pre-Order and It’s Only $15

SmartThings Link Dongle for NVIDIA SHIELD is Finally Up for Pre-Order and It’s Only $15

NVIDIA’s SHIELD TV getting its Experience 6.0 update today with Google Assistant is a big deal, no doubt. However, one of the other big features they showed off all the way back at CES for their SHIELD TV unit has taken the next step towards arrival too. Anyone remember the new SmartThings Link dongle that NVIDIA said would allow your SHIELD TV to become a SmartThings Hub for home control? It’s up for pre-order! Also, it’s only $14.99 right now.

Seriously, if you own an NVIDIA SHIELD TV and want a SmartThings Hub experience through it, you should jump on this. At $14.99, you are getting a pre-order discount of $25.

With this SmartThings Link attached to the back of your SHIELD TV (via USB port), you’ll be able to start setting up your smart home to control things like lights, door locks, and thermostats. You’ll also be able to receive alerts for motion in your house, set up routines, and connect who knows how many SmartThings-capable devices. Of course, you’ll need to buy all of the products that allow for smart home control. The full list of them can be found here.

In case you were wondering, the standard SmartThings Hub costs $99. This SmartThings Link, as far as I can tell, gets you almost all of the same functionality, yet costs just $15 at the moment.

Note: This is a pre-order and SmartThings isn’t saying exactly when this bad boy will ship.

  • DEAL: Get a Google Pixel for Just $349 From Woot, Pixel XL for $399

DEAL: Get a Google Pixel for Just $349 From Woot, Pixel XL for $399

The new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be announced next week and the phones will likely be everything an Android nerd could ask for. Well, outside of the price, since neither will fall into the budget realm of Nexus years past. Should you still need that Pixel experience without breaking the bank, Woot has you covered in today’s big daily deal.

Until they sell out, Woot will sell you a regular Google Pixel for as little as $349.99 with 32GB storage or $399.99 with 128GB of storage. If you want the Pixel XL, you are looking at $399.99 or $449.99 for 32GB or 128GB, respectively. Those are pretty damn good prices, especially for the XL. For 32GB, that’s close to $400 off.

Now, these phones are “refurbished,” so they aren’t new. You are probably also wondering if either would be worth buying? I’d say, yes, assuming your budget is around the $400 mark. By all means, the Pixel and Pixel XL will still be well-running, always-up-to-date phones for the next year at the least. They also still have incredible cameras and software experiences. You likely won’t find this experience in a budget phone that costs $400.

  • DEAL: Samsung Discounts Wireless Chargers, Gear 360, Gear VR, and More

DEAL: Samsung Discounts Wireless Chargers, Gear 360, Gear VR, and More

When you think about tech accessory deals, I think it’s safe to say that most of us run to Amazon or Best Buy to check prices first. For years, those two have had some of the better deal round-ups on the stuff we love. But let’s not forget that Samsung’s own website often hosts their own deals that give you ever better prices. Outside of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 deals we highlight, some of their accessory prices are about the best you’ll find too.

For example, right now, you can get the newest version of the Samsung Gear 360 camera for $63 off, dropping its $230 price tag to $167. You’ll also find the newest Gear VR with Controller for $93.99 ($36 off). If you need other options, like wireless charger deals (iPhone 8 homies), Samsung’s two newest are both $10 off at the moment, including the convertible option. Finally, Note 8 owners, should you lose that S Pen and need another, Samsung has replacement S Pens discounted by $20 at the moment.

DEAL: Grab a 5500mAh Galaxy S8+ Battery Case for Just $24 With This Coupon Code

For a limited time through Amazon, Galaxy S8+ owners can pick up a 5,500mAh battery case for just $23.99, down from its usual price of $29.99 with the help of a coupon code.

For those who are on the go a lot, a battery case can be extremely beneficial. For example, if you need to leave the office, you can throw your phone in the battery case and make sure your phone is getting juiced up while out and about, or it can be very useful if your commute to and from work is extra long. You can’t really argue against more battery life, so if you have the Galaxy S8+, $24 for this case isn’t bad at all.

  • SHIELD TV 16GB With SHIELD Remote Bundle Price Cut to $179

SHIELD TV 16GB With SHIELD Remote Bundle Price Cut to $179

Launched earlier this year with a price of $199, the SHIELD TV from NVIDIA has just received a price cut, now listed at $179 on NVIDIA’s website. NVIDIA says this price will also be reflected at retailers soon and we can’t help but assume this is a move directed at Apple’s launch of the Apple TV 4K ($199).

This $179 option is a 16GB unit with SHIELD Remote, but do note, it comes with no SHIELD Controller. That’s an add-on you can purchase for the same $59.99 price.

If you still don’t yet own an Android TV box, the SHIELD TV is a great bet, one that Kellen and I both use in our homes on a daily basis. Not only does it act as your Google Cast receiver, but it can be your Plex media server, and gaming console (with games from Google Play or GeForce NOW). It’s still a sweet box, with Google Assistant and support for the yet-to-be-released NVIDIA SPOT hopefully on the way soon.

On the downside, NVIDIA is listing this price as a pre-order. I have no idea why, but it is. If you’d like to order a SHIELD TV at this lower price, you can do so through NVIDIA’s website, or you can wait for retailers to offer the same lowered price.
