  • DROID Bionic Will Drop to $249 Starting Tomorrow, Same Day as the RAZR Pre-order

If for some reason you had planned to pick up a DROID Bionic instead of the Galaxy Nexus, DROID RAZR or HTC Rezound, then you will be pleased to learn that the price of it will drop by $50 tomorrow to $249 on contract (according to Verizon’s newest MAP list). Makes sense though, right? With the RAZR going on pre-order tomorrow morning for $299, Big Red would be silly to leave its older and thicker brother at the same price point.

  • Normally $15, OfficeSuite Pro 5 is Free Today from Amazon

As if there weren’t enough office solutions on Android for you to take advantage of already, another one popped up on Amazon today for free that normally runs $15. It doesn’t appear to have all of the cloud storage options that say QuickOffice does, but it claims to have Google Docs support which may be enough for many of you. Wish I could give you an official opinion on how awesome this app is, but I’m really just sharing the fact that it is normally $15. Yep, another cheap Android user. 🙂

  • Verizon Offering Up to 50% Off the HTC Rhyme Through Facebook, More “Likes” the Bigger the Discount

Verizon kicked off one of the more interesting promos we have seen in a while today through their Facebook page. They are offering up to a 50% off discount of the HTC Rhyme depending on the number of “Likes” they receive. The deal will run for 6 days and if they land 2000+ “Likes” by then, anyone interested in the device will be able to grab it for half the normal price. They are calling it the “Group Buy.” Pretty cool idea, right?

  • Relive the Original Motorola DROID Experience for Just $59.99

Couldn’t have been better timing. On the day that we will see the latest release from Motorola along with Google unleashing the newest version of Android, the original Motorola DROID has been made Cowboom’s deal of the day. If you feel like reliving the glory days or simply want one to stash away somewhere as a keepsake, you can do so for just $59.99 – no contract involved. They are “pre-owned” devices so they won’t be as shiny and new as they were in November of 2009, but it may still be worth it. Ahhh, memories.

  • Verizon Drops HTC Thunderbolt to $49 for Current Customers, Tosses in Extended Battery for Free (Updated)

With devices like the HTC Rezound (Vigor) and Galaxy Nexus headed to Verizon stores within the next few weeks, we are starting to see prices of their predecessors get slashed. The DROID Charge dropped to $199 on Friday and now the Thunderbolt is joining the party.

If for some reason you feel like you can’t wait for the Rezound, then by all means jump on Big Red’s first 4G LTE device that has quite the developer following. For $49 (current customers), you can get the device and a free extended battery (a $49.99 value in its own right) if you purchase online. If you are not a current customer, the price is appearing as $149 with a free battery tossed. This is easily one of the bigger price drops we have seen in some time.

*Note – In order to see it at $49, you have to be logged into your account.

*Note 2 – Many of you are only seeing it as $149. Could be an error, will keep an eye on it.

Update:  Looks like the $49 price was just an error. Silly Verizon.

    Buy.

Cheers DL App tipster and Tim!

  • HTC Flyer Drops to $99 at Best Buy, In-Store Purchases Only (Updated)

Get to your local Best Buy immediately.  If you want an HTC Flyer for just $99, you won’t find it online, so I suggest you jump through the link below to see which of your nearby stores has any left in stock.  No telling yet if other retailers like Amazon will be dropping the price as well.  We’ll be on the lookout though.  Firesale!

    Check for stores here.

Update:  We just got a memo from Best Buy stating that the $99 price drop was a huge mistake and that they will not be honoring it in stores. Do not make the trip in.

    Cheers Scott!
