• DROID Bionic Extended Battery is 50% Through Verizon, Maybe This Weekend Only

Bought a new DROID Bionic over the last few days and need more juice to get you through the day? Might want to head over to Verizon’s online shop today, as they appear to be slashing the price of extended batteries in half this weekend (possibly til 9/30 though).  When you view the battery page, it will show as $49.99, but once you add it to your cart, you will see that you can purchase it for $24.99 as I have showed in the picture above.  Steal.

    Buy.

    Cheers @0mie and jarrod!

  • More DROID Bionic Deals From Costco and Lets Talk, Full “Armor” Commercial Returns (Updated)

First things, first.  Remember that DROID Bionic commercial that a reader submitted earlier in the week that featured Ms. Bionic dominating a series of robots?  It’s back and available in solid quality.  You can watch it above.

Costco Deal:  If you are a Costco member, you can walk into a store (or order online) and pick up a Bionic Bundle for $279.99.  What’s in the bundle?  A standard dock, battery charger, second battery, car charger, screen protectors, belt case, and a car dock that are valued at well over $150.  Talk about a steal.  We are hearing that these bundles are selling out fast though, so jump over to their site now or cruise to your nearest store today.

Lets Talk Deal:  Not quite as good as the Costco deal, but you can grab the phone for as little as $199 on a new 2-year contract which is $100 cheaper than you’ll find it at Verizon.

Update:  Amazon just dropped their price to $179.  Battle!

    Buy:  Costco | LetsTalk

Cheers Brian, Jeff, Mike and Nigel!

  • Google Offers Expands to Seattle, Denver, Austin, Boston and DC Starting Today

Back in April, Google Offers launched through three introductory cities:  NYC, Portland and the Bay Area. Today, five new cities have been added to the list as a sign that this service is going no where any time soon.  Deal shoppers in Austin, Boston, Denver, Seattle and the D.C. area can sign up and get to purchasing this very minute.  We should also point out that Facebook axed their Deals department just days ago.  Interesting to say the least.

More info on each city’s initial offers.  Sign up here.

  • Buying a New Verizon Smartphone? Trade In Your Current Phone and Receive $100 Gift Card (Updated)

Verizon introduced a new trade-in program over the last week or so that will help you land $100 gift cards for trading in old phones and then purchasing new ones.  The deal varies depending on your status (non-customer, adding a line, etc.), but no matter what, should give you an extra $100 to put towards a new phone like say, the DROID Bionic.  After reading some fine print, it looks like the deal could run through November 15 which would cover rumored device like the HTC Vigor and DROID Prime as well.  Understand though, that if you were to buy something like say the Charge or Bionic, you will still have to pay $299 up front, but will then receive a giftcard afterwards in the mail to offset it by $100.  Still, not a bad option.

The site for this promo mentions that it is an online exclusive, but I’ve heard that this may also be available in stores.  Looking for confirmation on that.

Update:  Here are the in-store details from one of our sources:

In the store it works for customers upgrading from a basic phone (one not requiring data packages) to a smart phone (requires minimum $30).  When you upgrade, you are sent a promo code for the VZW trade in site.  Once entered, they send you a box to send in your basic phone, and then when they receive it they send you a $100 gift card.  Currently the stores are only doing the upgrade promotion and not the new activations to VZW like they are doing online.  Some customers are even eligible to upgrade early if they go to a smartphone.

More on the $100 gift card promo.

    Cheers Jeff and ac66!

  • DROID Bionic And Accessory Bundle Will Land At Costco For Just $299

Our good buddies over at Droid Forums just scooped up a nice flier from an insider showing a sweet deal that Costco will be hosting. At time of release (September 8th), you can grab the DROID Bionic for its regular price of $299, and also get an “Accessories Bonus Pack”. It will include the standard dock which we have seen float around, a vehicle navigation dock, plus a must have for any 4G device, a battery dock and extra battery.

Looks like there won’t be any reason to stand in line at Verizon, if Costco is having this deal. Everyone get your Costco cards ready.
