  • Here’s the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Specs

Here’s the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Specs

The Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks with a set of specs, including the camera, battery size, processor, and dimensions.

Samsung still has yet to reveal the official Unpacked event date for the Galaxy S26 series, but we’re close enough that everything (as it always does) is about to leak. Today, we have supposedly official renders of the entire Galaxy S26 series, although we’re just showing you the Galaxy S26 Ultra here, because it’s the only important device.

The renders arrive alongside a small set of specs, none of which will come as a surprise to you. Also, the design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is as expected, thanks to previously released renders that do indeed match what we are seeing below, as well as in-hand dummy units from more recently.

    Galaxy S26 Ultra Colors

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has an S Pen, is the same shape as the previous version, and will have a slightly updated camera setup that looks closer to the design found on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Everything else here is familiar. If you wanted 2026 to be the year that Samsung fully refreshed the Galaxy S line, you aren’t getting it.

For Galaxy S26 Ultra specs, today’s report says the following:

    • Display: 6.9″ QHD+ AMOLED
    • Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
    • Battery: 5000mAh
    • Rear Camera: 200MP main, 50MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto
    • Selfie Camera: 12MP
    • Storage: 256GB

  • Verizon Just Had Its Best Quarter in 6 Years

Verizon Just Had Its Best Quarter in 6 Years

Verizon reported its best postpaid phone net additions since 2019 in Q4 of 2025.

Is the turn-around here? Verizon sure thinks this is the beginning of it. While reporting their Q4 2025 numbers, new CEO Dan Schulman shared excitement about how his first full quarter ended at the top of Verizon. Schulman noted that “Our performance in the fourth quarter proves that we can grow by delighting our customers and building deep trust and loyalty.”

The “delighting” part was a big focus from him during his introduction last year, in case you were wondering why he chose that word. He also mentioned no longer being the “hunting ground for our competitors,” which is a reference to Verizon losing customers in recent years at the expense of T-Mobile and AT&T, who both keep adding hundreds of thousands by the quarter.

For Verizon in Q4 2025, they added 616,000 postpaid customers, which is up from 504,000 in the same period of 2024. They claim this is their best quarter since 2019. For comparison, AT&T’s Q4 highlights show 421,000 postpaid phone adds. T-Mobile has not yet reported their Q4 numbers, but they said they added 2.3 million in Q3.

As for the future, Schulman noted that this moment only “reflects the beginning of [their] turnaround,” and that they expect to add 750,000 to 1 million postpaid phones in 2026. That would be 2-3 times their volume from 2025, as 2025 was an incredibly rough year for Verizon.

It’s tough to say if this is the beginning of a turn-around for Verizon. They haven’t done much to attract new customers outside of a holiday switch promo or two. Their myPlan plans remain and are as dull as they were the day they were first introduced. I really feel like a plan shake-up needs to happen for this to all get moving in the right direction.

Let’s also not forget that a massive round of layoffs was a part of Q4, just prior to the holidays. So while Verizon may be making a comeback, a bunch of people’s lives were impacted in order for this to happen.

  • Samsung Immediately Sells Out of Its $2,900 Z Trifold

Samsung Immediately Sells Out of Its $2,900 Z Trifold

Galaxy Z TriFold, the $2,899 foldable from Samsung, sells out in minutes.

You probably missed it because you didn’t see the need to make a note on your calendar for a $3,000 foldable from Samsung, but so you know, the Galaxy Z TriFold has already sold out. Yep, it went up for sale this morning at $2,899 and is gone with only a “Notify Me” button available.

Samsung set January 30 at 10AM Eastern (7AM Pacific) for launch and we checked for it about 30 minutes after it went live. By that time, the price and “Buy” buttons were still there, but you couldn’t actually buy it. The “Buy” button was greyed-out and there was no way to configure the phone or add it to cart. It was gone and Samsung just needed to update the page to show that.

That has now happened and if you are/were interested in the Galaxy Z TriFold, you’ll simply need to add your name to the list and wait for its return. Will it return? Probably at some point. My guess is that Samsung didn’t make very many of these and is mostly gauging interest before they make another batch.

To get notified of its return, head over to this page.

  • Google Extends Pixel Tablet OS Updates for Another 2 Years

Google Extends Pixel Tablet OS Updates for Another 2 Years

Pixel Tablet updates now last another 2 years, thanks to new promise from Google.

While Google has done some weird things with updates on some of its older devices (the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7) in recent months, none of which they want to address publicly, today brings good news for owners of the Pixel Tablet. A support page was recently updated to show that they’ll provide more OS updates than we were expecting.

Spotted by 9to5Google, this support page was changed to suggest Google now provides a level of support that includes “5 years of OS and security updates,” plus it “may also include new and upgraded features with Pixel Drops.” It’s the combination of OS and security updates that is new here, as the OS updates were previously scheduled to end in 2026 with security patches running through 2028.

We’ve already updated our dedicated post to Pixel update schedules to reflect this change, but it did indeed say 2026 for OS updates and 2028 for security in our last update.

I’m still not sure you should invest in a Pixel Tablet on this news, but if you already own one, congrats.

  • Dictaboard AI Keyboard Means No More ‘Comma’ and ‘Period’ Commands

Dictaboard AI Keyboard Means No More ‘Comma’ and ‘Period’ Commands

When dictating a text message, that sense of unnaturalness for me comes from having to say words like “comma” and “period.” With AI becoming so prevalent on our phones, it makes perfect sense that it could be used to make the process of dictation better. That’s where the new Dictaboard AI-powered keyboard comes in.

Powered by the AI behind ChatGPT, Dictaboard utilizes AI to input your text anywhere across Android (it’s a system-wide replacement keyboard), then uses those AI smarts to properly punctuate, format, and polish up your messy dictation. No more will you have to speak punctuations or mechanics like “new line.”

Once you have inputted your text via voice, there’s even a polish feature that will clean up your message. The polish tool will fix your grammar and clarity, without fear of changing the actual tone of your message.

The developers behind the keyboard say that they built Dictaboard because, “Voice typing has always been a great idea that worked poorly in practice. We simply wanted to make it work. No robot voice required. No manual punctuation. Just say what you mean and hit send.”

That message resonates with me. There has hardly ever been a natural feeling when using voice dictation. If this is a problem that AI can actually fix, I’m all for it. A lot of the AI things that my phone can do have never impressed me, but this one actually makes sense and does.

Dictaboard is free to try for the first 3 days, allowing you to get a feel for if it’s a good productivity tool for you. After the 3 day trial, the starting price is $4.99.

  • Nothing Won’t Release a Flagship Phone 4 in 2026

    Nothing Won’t Release a Flagship Phone 4 in 2026

Looking back at the launch gap between Nothing’s Phone 2 and Phone 3, I wouldn’t exactly say that any of us should be surprised that we won’t see a new, flagship-level Phone 4 arrive in 2026. However, it’s still news and you should know that Nothing will not launch the Nothing Phone 4 this year. Instead, the company will bring us the Nothing Phone 4a and a potential follow-up to their excellent Nothing Headphone 1.

All of this news comes from a video that Nothing posted to their YouTube channel this morning, where CEO Carl Pei talked through the company’s 2025 and what we can expect throughout this new year.

Again, Pei confirmed that “There’s no new flagship this year” and that “Phone 3 is our flagship for 2026.” His thought is that they don’t need (or want) to “churn out a phone, a flagship phone every year just for the sake of it to be on that schedule or calendar.” For those not familiar with Nothing’s calendar, they gave us Phone 2 in 2023 and then Phone 3 in 2025. I think most of us assumed no new flagship this year, with a Phone 4 likely arriving in 2027.

That said, they will deliver Nothing Phone 4a this year and it’ll be closer to a flagship than any a-series before it. We’ll see an updated design, premium materials, and maybe some color.

As for what else was announced in this video, we should see a “double down” on over-ear headphones, a potential retail store launch in NYC, and that’s about it. You can watch the video over at YouTube if you want.

  • You Can Now Access Gemini While Walking, Biking in Google Maps

You Can Now Access Gemini While Walking, Biking in Google Maps

Gemini in Google Maps is already available to those navigating by car, but what about those using Maps to get around on foot or via bicycle? Google is rolling out Gemini support for our friends on the sidewalk and in the bike lane.

Much like when driving, folks who are walking can now ask Gemini questions like, “Tell me more about the neighborhood I’m in” or, “are there cafes with a bathroom along my route?”

For cyclists, Gemini is hands free, so you can ask questions such as, “When’s my next meeting?” or to text a friend that you’re running late. Basically, any time you might need Gemini while navigating by anything other than a boat, you can now access it.

Google says this is now available to iOS devices and “rolling out” to Android devices.
