Moments ago, Google posted the Android 4.3 (JLS36C) factory images and binaries for the new Nexus 7 with LTE. If you own the LTE variant, feel free to grab them at the links below.
Our N7 LTE received the update to JLS36C this morning. (more…)
During the Samsung Unpacked event today in Berlin, it was mentioned that an Android 4.3 update would become available for the Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, and Note 2 this October. For the Galaxy S4 owners, the update will also include support for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, right in time for when the smartwatch will become commercially available. (more…)
The new Nexus 7 has had a couple of issues to deal with out of the gate that has most certainly frustrated early adopters. First it was a GPS issue, but more recently the focus has moved onto multi-touch issues with the device’s display. After pressing more than one finger on the display at a time, users were dealing with a screen-freakout that would leave the device useless for a short time.
According to a Googler who has been responding in an ongoing thread over at Google’s product forums, an update is rolling out that should fix the issue. The update, as has been reported by a couple of forums, is build JSS15Q, which is still Android 4.3. (more…)
Update links for Nexus devices are beginning to pop up, so if waiting for Google to push the OTA to Android 4.3 JWR66Y out to you doesn’t sound exciting, then help yourself to these. Currently, zip files are only available for the Nexus 7 HSPA+ and Galaxy Nexus “yakju,” but we will update the post as more hit the web. (more…)
According to T-Mobile support, the Nexus 4 is scheduled to receive a new build of Android 4.3 any day now. The build number is JWR66Y, which differs slightly from the JWR66V that rolled out a few weeks ago. The only improvement they list is for “security,” so this likely is incredibly minor. Also, the jump from “V” to “Y” shouldn’t get you all that excited anyway.
The update should become available today, at least in some form, probably a staged rollout. The update is 1.8MB in size.

According to Jason Mackenzie, HTC’s president of global sales, the HTC One and DROID DNA will receive Android 4.3 before the end of September. We have recently seen the international HTC One receive Android 4.2.2, but Mackenzie also confirmed this weekend that the U.S. version will likely skip right to 4.3 since 4.2.2 was so minor.
I wouldn’t say we are surprised at all by this, as HTC seems to be attempting to update phones as fast as possible these days, but it was nice to see the DNA name-dropped in there. Launched at the end of last year as HTC’s flagship for Verizon, we feel as if it gets neglected from time to time.

Team Douche began pumping out nightly builds for CyanogenMod 10.2 last night, bringing the Android 4.3-based goodness to quite a few supported devices. Initially supported devices include the Nexus devices, the Galaxy Nexus on VZW, the Bionic, the One on all carriers, and the Galaxy S4. More devices will be supported in the future, but of course these things take time. (more…)
Only a few weeks ago, Android 4.3 was introduced to the world. As expected, the only devices to get the update so far have been Nexus devices. With a new lineup of devices hitting in the last few months of this year, we could see phones with it sooner rather than later. It’s no secret that the Galaxy Note 3 is coming soon, but could it be the first non-Nexus device to launch with Android 4.3? (more…)
