Tuesday Poll: Product You are Most Excited for This Week?

One of the biggest weeks in tech has arrived, thanks to IFA in Berlin and a separate event being held by Motorola where they are preparing to announce a handful of new products. It is going to get wild around these parts starting early tomorrow morning. Asus has a press event in the very early hours, where we should see the official unveiling of the ZenWatch. After that, Samsung will do its Galaxy Note 4 song and dance, followed by additional events for Sony and some other companies. Then once Thursday rolls around, the world will focus on Motorola and the new Moto X and Moto G, along with details on the Moto 360. LG will also be showing off their new G Watch R, round smartwatch, during IFA. Again, things are going to get nutty, but awesome.

We want to know which announcement or product you are most excited about. Will it be the new Note? Are you hoping to hear Sony confirm US availability for their next flagship? Or do you really just care about Motorola’s new line of products?

    Let us know!

  • New Moto G Reportedly Appears in Full Form

New Moto G Reportedly Appears in Full Form

On September 4, Motorola is going to show off not only a new Moto X, but a new Moto G as well. Don’t believe us? Go back and look at their press invite again, which clearly shows a phone with the letter “G” centered on its display.

Thanks to the folks over at HelloMotoHK, we may have one of our first looks (pictured above) at the new mid-range device. According to their images and information, the new Moto G will support dual-SIM (international variant) and microSD cards, along with swappable back covers, just like the original. We could also get an upgraded 5-inch HD display, 8MP rear camera, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and the dual-front speakers that were first introduced on the Moto E(more…)

Here is the New Moto X for Verizon in Two Press Renders

As a retirement gift, @evleaks just Tweeted the image above, which is likely a set of press renders for the new Moto X (or Moto X+1) that is headed for Verizon.

Two variants of the device are shown, one as an all-black base model, the other as a white and wood combo, something that you would see on the original Moto X if it were made through MotoMaker. It looks exactly like the last leak we saw, which showed a device with a wood back, centered Motorola logo/button, big camera housing, and metal trim.  (more…)

  • Motorola Hosting September 4 Event – For New Moto X, Moto G and Moto 360

Motorola Hosting September 4 Event – For New Moto X, Moto G and Moto 360

On September 4, the day after Samsung gets done announcing its next Galaxy Note device, Motorola will host a press event of their own to unveil new products. We are fully expecting the next version of the Moto X to be the star of the show, along with the Moto 360. There may also be a new Moto G on hand. Well, that’s at least what the invite is hinting at.

Rumors of a Moto X+1 as the follow-up have existed for months now, but as we often remind folks, nothing is official until Motorola makes it official. The Moto 360, on the other hand, is all sorts of official already. This event should fill in some of the blanks, though, like final specs and price. The Moto G has helped Motorola find some success after years of frustration, so it only makes sense that they refresh the handset.

Who is ready for Motorola’s next big launch?  (more…)

  • Google is Cleaning Up Its Google Play Edition Section – Only One (M8), Moto G, and Galaxy S4 Remain

Google is Cleaning Up Its Google Play Edition Section – Only One (M8), Moto G, and Galaxy S4 Remain

Just before Google I/O, we pointed out the fact that the majority of Google Play Edition devices on Google Play had become depleted of inventory, with only the One (M8) and Moto G showing as available for purchase. We weren’t sure what to make of it at the time, but as of today, Google has begun to wipe out devices that no longer have or haven’t had inventory for some time.  (more…)

  • Motorola Updates Moto Devices With Boot Animation to Celebrate World Cup

Motorola Updates Moto Devices With Boot Animation to Celebrate World Cup

Motorola is updating the boot animation on its Moto devices this week – including the Moto X – to a World Cup theme. Since we have a solid month of soccer to celebrate, watch, and become temporary fans of (I kid, I kid), why not?

The update will come through a Motorola Boot Services update, so be on the lookout.  (more…)
