Yesterday during all of the Nexus 5 madness, @evleaks posted up a tweet about a few of the specs you could expect to see from the device. According to a new tweet from the infamous @evleaks, the Moto G will be a cheaper Moto X, featuring almost the same specs as the Moto X, but will hit the market free on contract. The device supposedly features a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an 8MP back-facing camera, a 4.7″ HD display, come in either 8GB or 16GB storage options, and feature an LG-made 1950mAh battery. Oh, what’s that you accidentally posted to your site, Motorola? It looks like the recently rumored Moto G to me.
We don’t know much about the Moto G, only that some think it will be the even-cheaper version of the Moto X. We’ve also seen it appear in a trademark filing by Motorola. Tough to tell from this appearance what exactly Motorola has in store, especially since the link to it doesn’t work.
We’ll keep an eye on it. Thoughts?

According to a recent trademark filing sniffed out by Phandroid, Motorola may have something new on the horizon. The name Moto G was granted to Motorola quite recently, but what exactly is the Moto G? Since the launch of the Moto X, Motorola’s CEO Dennis Woodside did mention that a cheaper variant of the phone would be in the works soon after the X’s launch. Could the Moto G be it? (more…)
