    Deal: Nexus 7 (2012) 32GB for $99 From eBay

It might be two years old at this point, but eBay is running a flash sale on the original Nexus 7 (2012) with 32GB of storage for $99. The device is manufacturer refurbished, but as we have mentioned countless times, many believe that refurbishing a product gets rid of issues and actually makes a product better in some situations.

The device runs a Tegra 3 processor, has 1GB of RAM, and a 7-inch display. It also runs the newest version of Android, which is Kit Kat 4.4.2.

If you need a super cheap tablet that also carries the Nexus brand and stock Android, this isn’t a bad deal. The deal also includes free shipping.

    Monday Deals: Nexus 7 (2013) $169, Chromecast $30, R2D2 DROID 2 $69 and More

We noticed a couple of deals floating around today that were worth sharing, one of which includes a special edition Star Wars version of the DROID 2. Everyone remember the R2D2 slideout DROID 2 that Verizon wanted $250 on-contract for? Since the phone was priced insanely high, it never did sell out even though limited numbers were produced. The proof is today’s deal through eBay that has the device readily available for $69.99. At that price point, we are talking impulse buy/novelty/collectible territory.

Outside of that random throwback, we thought we should point out that Amazon has had the Chromecast listed for $29.99 for a couple of weeks – that’s $5 off retail. Amazon is also hosting a flash memory sale for PNY cards, including a 64GB microSD card for $35.  (more…)

Deal: Refurbished Nexus 7 (2013) From eBay for $140, With Free Shipping

There is a good chance that Google gives us a Nexus 7 (2014) in a couple of months, but that doesn’t mean the 2013 model shouldn’t be considered for your next 7-inch tablet, especially at the rock bottom prices we keep seeing through daily deal sites. Take for example the deal running today through eBay. For $139.99, you could pick up the Nexus 7 (2013) with 16GB of storage. Sure, it’s “manufacturer refurbished,” but some would argue that’s a good thing.

The 16GB version through Google Play still current retails for $229. Do the words “manufacturer refurbished” scare you enough to give up a $90 discount?  (more…)
