    Deal: Moto X 16GB for $274, Nexus 5 16GB for $334, Galaxy S4 for $349

There is quite the list of discounted phones over at eBay today, along with the Nexus 7 (2013) deal we already told you about. Phones like the Moto X with 16GB of storage can be had for as little as $275. The Nexus 5 with 16GB is also back at its $335 price, in all three colors. Even the LG G2 and Galaxy S4, two of last year’s best phones, are discounted to $433 and $350, respectively.

All of the phones are brand new, not refurbished.

The Moto X falls under model XT1058, which is the AT&T model. The listing claims that it is unlocked, so it could potentially work on T-Mobile as well. The Nexus 5 is the same Nexus 5 you would get through Google Play, so it will work on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. The G2 and Galaxy S4 devices will likely only work on AT&T’s HSPA+ here in the US.

    Each deal includes free shipping.

  • Deal: Nexus 7 (2013) 32GB for $189, Regularly $269 (Updated)

    Deal: Nexus 7 (2013) 32GB for $189, Regularly $269 (Updated)

Update:  A new deal has popped up that is even better than the original we featured. eBay is selling a brand new Nexus 7 (2013) with 32GB of storage for $189.99. That’s $10 cheaper than the refurbished model. [eBay Link]

Update 2:  It looks like the original deal for the refurbished model has now dropped from $199 to $169. Both are solid deals. So you can either grab a brand new Nexus 7 (2013) with 32GB of storage for $189 or a refurbished version for $169.

The Nexus 7 (2013), a tablet that many would still consider to be the best of the last year, can be had in “manufacturer refurbished” form through eBay today for $199 with 32GB of storage. Again, the device is refurbished, so it is not brand new. But like we mention in almost any post that features a deal for a refurbished product, there are those who consider manufacturer refurbished products to be almost better than new, since it gives the manufacturer an opportunity to button up any known issues and potentially re-release the product in better shape.

A brand new Nexus 7 (2013) with 32GB of storage currently retails through Google Play for $269, so you are looking at around $70 in savings. Keep in mind that this eBay deal also includes free expedited shipping, whereas Google will only give you free shipping on 3-5 day ground.

As a refresher, the Nexus 7 (2013) sports a 7-inch HD display (1920×1200), 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (quad-core), 2GB RAM, 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, dual stereo speakers, and runs the latest version of Android, which is 4.4.3.

  • Deal: Nexus 5 16GB (in Any Color) for $334 on eBay, With Free Shipping

Deal: Nexus 5 16GB (in Any Color) for $334 on eBay, With Free Shipping

Nexus 5 deal! In a daily deal on eBay, you can pick-up Google’s latest Nexus smartphone (maybe their last, too?) with 16GB of storage in any color (black, white, or red) for $334. The phone retails for $349 through Google Play, so this isn’t a massive discount, but if you factor in the $15 savings on the phone, plus the free shipping, it actually is a pretty solid deal. Google charges $9.99 for their cheapest shipping option.

As you all know, we love the Nexus 5. In fact, we called it the 2nd best phone of 2013, right behind the Moto X. The Nexus 5 is a phone that both Tim and I couldn’t wait to go back to after reviewing the Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M8). It may not have the best camera on the block, but it runs stock Android, is already on Android 4.4.3, and may be the last of our favorite line of Android phones.

  • Deal: Brand New, Unlocked HTC One (M7) for $349

Deal: Brand New, Unlocked HTC One (M7) for $349

Looking for one hell of a deal on last year’s HTC One (M7)? Here you go. eBay is running a daily deal on the AT&T variant of the device at a price of $349. That’s the full retail price; there are no contracts involved here. This phone is also brand new and comes in the original packaging.

Sure, it may not be this year’s HTC One (M8), but the original One (M7) still has a lot going for it. The device sports 32GB of storage, a 1080p LCD display, BoomSound speakers, HTC’s Sense skin, Beats Audio (lulz), 4MP (“UltraPixel”) camera, and a 2300mAh battery. This particular model works on AT&T’s network, with support for both HSPA and LTE.

I know that Motorola is currently running a deal on their 32GB Moto X for $349, so you have some work ahead of you in making a decision. Be sure to check out our Moto X review, followed by our HTC One review to help with that.

  • Deal: Brand New, Unlocked AT&T Moto X on eBay for $275

Deal: Brand New, Unlocked AT&T Moto X on eBay for $275

The Moto X may be almost a year old, but you could argue that it is still one of the best smartphone values on the market, and that’s with its current full retail price of around $399. When you consider today’s deal on eBay, that lists an unlocked AT&T model for $275, you are in full “steal” territory, approaching the exit for “impulse buy” territory.

The deal, which is available in limited quantities, includes a brand new (not refurbished or any of that jazz), in-the-original-box Moto X (XT1058) in white with 16GB of storage. We are talking $275 for a brand new phone that we called the best smartphone of 2013. The listing claims that this is the XT1058, which is the AT&T model. If you buy it, you should have great service on LTE with AT&T service.

Free shipping is included as well.

  • Deals: Unlocked Galaxy S4 for $350, G2 Mini for $250 on eBay

Deals: Unlocked Galaxy S4 for $350, G2 Mini for $250 on eBay

In the mood for a smartphone deal? We have two today, both of which seem like steals.

The first is for an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4. Sure, the phone is more than a year old, but at $350 without a contract, you are talking Moto X territory. Many would argue that the Galaxy S4 is still one hell of a phone, even with the Galaxy S5 now available. In fact, I would argue that the phone feels much better in hand. It also has a beautiful Full HD Super AMOLED display and one of the best cameras ever put into a mobile device.

This is the unlocked international variant, so it should work just fine on AT&T’s HSPA here in the US; LTE compatibility may be a toss-up. You can buy it in white, black, purple, or blue – the device is brand new.

If you want something even cheaper, take a look at the LG G2 Mini. At $249, you are looking at a device with a 4.7-inch display (qHD), quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, and 8MP camera. This phone is not a flagship, but if you need a smartphone on the cheap, until you can grab a flagship, this wouldn’t be a bad option. Most phones these days run $200 on-contract, so $249 has got to be tempting.

  • Deal: 16GB Nexus 7 (2013) for $139 on eBay

    Deal: 16GB Nexus 7 (2013) for $139 on eBay

If you want an Android tablet, finding a good deal on one is not difficult. In fact, I don’t know why anyone would pay full price for an Android slate at this point. Whether it’s something from Samsung or the latest Nexus tablet from Google, someone is bound to have a discount worth considering. Take today’s deal on eBay for example, where you can grab a refurbished 16GB variant of the Nexus 7 (2013) for $139.99. The device originally retailed for $229 in a “brand new” state, but thanks to the manufacturer having to tinker with it, you can save $90.

The Nexus 7 (2013) may be almost a year old, but it is still widely considered to be one of the best available.

  • Deal: Unlocked Sony Xperia Z2 for $672 Through eBay

Deal: Unlocked Sony Xperia Z2 for $672 Through eBay

Since the Sony Xperia Z2 is not coming to the US any time soon, those of you who want to purchase this year’s flagship from Sony are going to have to either import it or buy an unlocked model from a reseller. Neither is an affordable option. Importing from the UK could run you upward of $900, while most of the unlocked resellers in the US have the price of the Xperia Z2 set no lower than $750. That’s a lot of cash for a smartphone.

But, if you really, really want the Xperia Z2, then you may want to rush over to eBay today for the best price I have seen to date. Through a daily deal, you can pick up the device for $672.98, which includes free expedited shipping. That’s almost $100 less than most resellers. That may even be cheaper than what Sony will sell it for on its own website later this summer(more…)
