  • Official $20 Nexus 7 Case Selling for Over $100 on eBay

When the Nexus 7 first went on sale, early adopters had the opportunity to tack on an official $19.99 case to their order. According to eBay listings that a reader just sent us, you would have been wise to have done just that. Since the case has been backordered for weeks, Nexus 7 owners have been forced into buying cheap knock-offs from Amazon and then modifying them a bit so that they work with the Jelly Bean running beast. If you want official though, you better be ready to pay up to 5 times as much as the case is worth. If you cruise around eBay for a minute, you’ll find the N7 case anywhere from $60 to over $100.

Is it really that nice of a case?

  • Nexus 7 Sells for $1825 on eBay – Dude Couldn’t Wait 2 Weeks to Spend Only $199?

We see yet-to-be-released products go up for sale on eBay all of the time. It’s just something that happens when people are given free stuff before the general public. In the case of the guy that just bought a Google Nexus 7 for $1825 though, we can’t help but shake our heads. The fact that someone was willing to spend close to $2K on a device that will be here in 2 weeks for $199, has left us 100% speechless. Now, the Nexus 7 is a heck of a little tablet, plus this special edition white version from I/O is extra hot, but it sure as hell isn’t worth $1825. Dude could have gone and almost bought a brand new retina Macbook Pro or something really impressive.  (more…)

  • Verizon Employee Tries to Sell His Limited Edition RAZR MAXX on eBay Before He Even Has It, Bidding Starts at $750

Update:  Some crazy person actually paid $2250 for this. The auction is closed.

It is no longer a secret that Verizon is going to offer employees their very own special edition DROID RAZR or RAZR MAXX. Word leaked out last week that VZW workers would have the opportunity to purchase a red-backed and individually engraved version of the device at discounted prices. In not surprising fashion, one of those workers is using it to his advantage to make a couple of bucks via eBay.

His listing claims that the device will be in his hands around March 2 or 3 and has opened up the bidding at $750. Yep, that’s $100 more than you can buy the device for straight up off contract in traditional grey and black. Interested?

  • eBay App For Android Now Lets You Sell Directly From Your Phone

The official eBay Android app received an update yesterday. Users now finally have the ability to list an item for sale “in under 60 seconds” and then sit back and watch the auction pandemonium. Being able to sell an item through eBay’s mobile Android application has been a feature that app users have wanted for a while, so hopefully this will be beneficial and everyone makes great use of it.

So has anyone picked up this new version and listed anything yet? How simple is the process?  Were able to hammer one out in under “60 seconds”?   Happy bidding, everyone.   (more…)
