HTC Unveils Limited Edition Captain America S.H.I.E.L.D. One (M8)
Instead of a perfectly-placed Iron Man promotion (the phone is metal and RDJ is a paid spokesperson), HTC has decided to instead go a different route, teaming up the folks behind the new Captain America movie to produce a special limited edition S.H.I.E.L.D. One (M8) smartphone.
The One (M8) comes with a special S.H.I.E.L.D. logo along its backside, and appears to come packed with a few Captain America wallpapers. But don’t worry, the wallpapers can be yours too, if you so choose. (more…)

HTC Posts Q2 Guidance – Plans Domination of Mid-range Market, One (M8) Already Selling Better Than One (M7)
HTC issued guidance for its Q2 financials today, and the news was mostly positive. The Taiwan-based company said it projects revenues to dip slightly, down 2-8% from last year with $2.16 billion.
However, the company’s anticipated net income of between $31 million and $115 million, beat analysts expectations. As HTC Source points out, Q2 of this year could be HTC’s most profitable in more than 2 years. (more…)

The HTC One (M8) may not have launched with an overabundance of color options; only Glacial Silver, Gunmetal Gray, and Amber Gold are available currently, but that is about to change.

HTC One (M8) Mini Press Image Appears, No Duo Camera to be Found
The yet-to-be-announced HTC One (M8) Mini leaked in a press image over the weekend, thanks to @evleaks, showing a similar all-metal design to its older brother. The image reveals that the smaller-sister-from-another-mister will come in the same colors as the One (M8) – gunmetal grey, glacial silver, and champagne gold. The extra-curvy body from this year’s One (M8) is there as well. It is missing one major feature, though, the Duo Camera. (more…)

HTC One (M8) Unlocked and Developer Editions Get Extreme Power Saving Mode, Camera Enhancements in Update
Developer and Unlocked editions of the HTC One (M8) are receiving an over-the-air update this morning that finally includes Extreme Power Saving Mode, along with camera and gallery enhancements.
