We talked at length recently during a DL Show about how we were starting to wonder if HTC would try to release the “All New HTC One” to the public, the same day that they unveiled it. That day, as you know, is going to be March 25 (next Tuesday). According to Carphone Warehouse, a UK electronics retailer, they are indeed going to make the phone available for purchase at six of their London stores just minutes after HTC unveils it to the press. HTC Posts Final Episode of Technical Translations, Focuses on Zoes
The fourth and final Technical Translation from HTC is on YouTube, this time focusing on Zoes, HTC’s photo/video sharing platform built into the company’s camera software.
Zoes were introduced last year, as a neat way to capture more of life’s moments. For example, if you went to a concert the night before and were snapping a lot of pictures with Zoes turned on, the One would take up to 20 photos and a 3-second video at once. The device would then stitch together its creation and save itself to the gallery for sharing later on. (more…)

“All New HTC One” for Verizon Sold on eBay for Just $500, Packaging Outs Specs
What’s that, you thought the “All New HTC One” leak situation couldn’t get any worse (for HTC) or more ridiculous? Silly, you should know better. Today, it got substantially more entertaining, if anything, as an apparent Verizon model was listed and sold on eBay for $499. We aren’t sure if the seller didn’t realize what they had or if they were trying to play it extra sneaky. But for full retail on an unreleased flagship phone that we can’t stop talking about, $500 seems like the steal of the century. The phone will more than likely be listed at $600 when it’s released.
If that wasn’t enough, the packaging has been outed as well, along with a spec list that had avoided us until now. (more…)

HTC One (2014) for Verizon Now on Sale Through eBay, But It’s a Dummy Unit
March 25 is the date set in which HTC plans on unveiling the next rendition of the One. Thanks to the Internet, folks who can’t wait that long to see just how the device will feel in their hands can place bids for a Verizon dummy unit.
Dummy units are devices shipped to carriers and other retailers for display purposes only, featuring zero working internals and fake displays. The only point of them is to give customers an idea of how the phone feels while in hand, as the weight and dimensions should be identical to a working unit. (more…)

HTC US President Talks One (2014) Leaks, Broader Device Portfolio in 2014
It must be hard working at HTC, having to build hype around an upcoming device that has been leaked more times than one can keep track of. Thanks to last year’s One, the Taiwan-based company is beginning to build a recognizable brand that should help the cause, with the HTC America President Jason Mackenzie leading the charge here in the US.
Recently interviewed by CNBC, Jason touches on a few crucial points for the company – excessive leaks, building a broader device portfolio that includes mid-range and pre-paid devices, and a focus on building the best flagship they possibly can. (more…)
