    HTC One Successor Device Will Sport On-screen Buttons, Couple of Wallpapers Reportedly Leaked

    The HTC One’s successor, codenamed M8, is shaping up to be a pretty desirable phone. According to @evleaks, who continues to share unreleased information regarding the M8, the device will in fact feature on-screen buttons and not capacitive buttons which we have seen on all HTC devices since the beginning of time.

    As we have seen from HTC in the past, the company somehow has a knack for placing odd button arrangements on devices; sometimes there is a recent tasks button, sometimes there is an HTC logo right where you would think the home button would be, and then each button behaves differently depending on if you tap, double tap, or long press. We know that it has annoyed quite a few users, so we think HTC’s move towards on-screen buttons will be a welcomed one by the community.  (more…)

    HTC M8 AnTuTu Benchmark Posted Online, Points to Possibly Finalized Specs

    HTC is apparently taking to benchmark apps to see how well its new flagship device is panning out. In newly posted benchmarks from AnTuTu, the M8 device, rumored to be the successor of the One, is seen running a Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM, featuring a 5″ 1080p display. While a few folks have posted that these are finalized specifications, keep in mind that prototype devices featuring non-finalized specs could be tested throughout any given period. For now, we can safely say that these are “possibly finalized” specs, just not completely confirmed.  (more…)

  • HTC M8 Reportedly Features 5″ 1080p Display, Kit Kat, and Snapdragon 800

    According to @evleaks, the HTC M8 – the supposed successor to the HTC One – will feature top tier specs, to make sure that it has a fighting chance against next year’s Galaxy lineup from Samsung. HTC will look to power the M8 with a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and Android 4.4, as well as fit a 5″ 1080p into its metal-wrapped body.  (more…)

  • HTC M8, Supposed One Successor, Rumored for Q1 2014 Launch

    According to @evleaks, by way of @gadget_pei, we could be seeing the HTC M8, the supposed One successor, on all four major U.S. carriers by the end of Q1 in 2014. We first caught a glimpse of the M8 last week, with what appears to be an oddly-small fingerprint scanner along its backside and wrapped metallic chassis. It should be a good looking device, even sporting HTC’s next-gen Sense 6 user interface.  (more…)

    The HTC One is beginning to be old news, so it’s time we start focusing on the possible future offering from the hurting Android manufacturer. The One showed people that the company wasn’t completely out of great ideas, and for the most part, the One is a fantastic device. So, can HTC keep it up with the One’s successor, rumored to be the M8, that should be unveiled in the first half of 2014?  (more…)
