AT&T Launches 14 New 4G LTE Markets Across America
AT&T announced a few new 4G LTE markets this morning, spanning from North Carolina to Utah. In total, there are 14 new markets, as AT&T is pushing hard to apparently finish its LTE rollout as soon as possible. According to AT&T, they have invested almost $100 billion into the network across the country, with even more planned on being poured in by the end of 2015. J.D. Power Ranks Verizon Highest in Network Quality Performance Across the U.S.
Verizon takes its network quite seriously – from the countless millions of dollars invested into the network’s infrastructure, to the money spent on marketing, making sure Americans know that it is the country’s “most reliable” network. This week, to Verizon’s joy, J.D. Power published its semi-annual findings that ranks America’s top mobile network providers. Unsurprisingly, Verizon ranked highest in all categories across all six U.S. regions, with only one tie taking place in the North Central region. (more…)

Verizon Max $30 6GB Data Deal for Unlimited Data Users is Live as Well
Last week, we reported on a new Verizon special called Verizon Max that was going to launch for a limited time on August 25 for unlimited data customers who want to participate in Verizon Edge, the upgrade-often, month-to-month plan that went live yesterday. New Nexus 7 Equipped With LTE Hits Japan Mid-September, Could U.S. Expect the Same?
Today, Google announced that the LTE-equipped variant of the new Nexus 7 would hit Japanese markets in mid-September. Interestingly enough, Google still has yet to give US markets an official timeframe for the device’s release on our shores. According to the press release that was snagged by Japan’s Ameblo, the tablet will support four different wireless carriers, much like what we are expecting here in the States. (more…)

AT&T Plans to Launch 4G LTE in the Following 50 Cities by End of 2013
AT&T boasts America’s second largest 4G LTE network, covering 225 million people and containing around 370 markets. This morning, AT&T announced that by the end of this calendar year, its 4G LTE network would cover 270 million Americans with a total of more than 400 active markets. In comparison, T-Mobile sits somewhere around 115 LTE markets, while Verizon pretty much wrapped up its 4G rollout earlier this year at 500 markets. (more…)
