Android O Developer Preview 2 Factory Images Available
If you didn’t join the Android Beta program (which is rolling out now) and update your Pixel or Nexus device to Android O because you were waiting for the factory images of Preview 2 to arrive, that time has come. Google posted the images shortly after the Google I/O keynote wrapped.
This is technically Android O Developer Preview 2, but it’s also the first that’s a part of the Android Beta program. The build for this is listed as OPP2 and we have files for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, and Pixel C. (more…)

Google Specifies Dates for Last Pixel and Nexus Security Patches
In mid-2016, Google provided specific timeframes for when Nexus devices would stop receiving new Android version updates. Today, Google is back to update us again, but this time, for when security updates will specifically cease for all current Nexus and Pixel devices. (more…)

April’s Android Security Update Goes Live With Factory Images for Nexus, Pixel (Updated)
Google just posted the Android security update for April 2017 and the files are already live for a number of devices.
So far, we are seeing 7.1.1 files for Pixel and Pixel XL (NOF27D), Nexus 6P (N4F26U), Nexus 5X (N4F26U), Nexus 6 (N6F26Y), and Nexus 9 (N4F26X).
In other notes, the Nexus 6 is also seeing builds of NBD92F and NBD92G (7.0.0). (more…)
